Monero fee calculator

Enter how many inputs and outputs your transaction has and pick a priority. The calculator loads the current network fee per byte and the XMR price, then estimates the fee in XMR and US dollars.

How the estimate works

Monero fees are charged per byte of transaction weight. A transaction with one input and two outputs is about 1.5 kB; each extra input adds roughly 700 bytes and each extra output roughly 100 bytes (with today's 16-member rings and Bulletproofs+ range proofs; real sizes vary a little). The base fee per byte comes from the network and rises only when blocks fill up. Your wallet multiplies it by the priority you choose: public nodes currently suggest roughly ×4 for normal, ×20 for fast and ×200 for fastest compared with low.

Most of the time the lowest priority confirms in the next block or two. Whatever you pay, received funds unlock after 10 confirmations, about 20 minutes. See Monero fees explained and today's fee.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Monero transaction cost?

Usually about 0.00003 XMR for a simple transaction at low priority, roughly two US cents at October 2026 prices. Higher priority or many inputs cost more.

Why does my wallet show a different fee?

Wallets round fees, may pick a different priority by default, and the exact size depends on your inputs. Treat this as an estimate.

Does paying more make funds unlock sooner?

It can get the transaction into a block sooner when the network is busy, but the 10-block lock still applies.
