Monero mining profitability calculator

Enter your hashrate, power draw and electricity price. The calculator loads the current network difficulty and XMR price and estimates what you would earn per day and month, after pool fees and electricity.

Typical CPU hashrates (RandomX)

CPU (examples)Approximate hashrate
Laptop, 4 cores1,000–3,000 H/s
Desktop, 8 cores (recent Ryzen 7)8,000–12,000 H/s
Desktop, 16 cores (Ryzen 9)15,000–22,000 H/s
Server, 64 cores (EPYC)40,000–60,000 H/s

Rough ranges reported by XMRig users with tuned settings; your result depends on cache, memory and settings.

How it is calculated

A block is found about every 120 seconds, so the network hashrate is roughly difficulty ÷ 120. Your expected share of the 720 daily blocks is your hashrate divided by the network hashrate. Each block pays 0.6 XMR (the tail emission) plus fees, which we leave out to stay conservative. Electricity is watts × 24 hours ÷ 1,000 × your price per kWh.

Solo mining pays the full block but only rarely; pools and P2Pool pay small amounts often. Read how to mine Monero before you start, and check the live network stats.

Frequently asked questions

Is Monero mining profitable?

It depends mainly on your electricity price. On a typical home CPU at average electricity prices, earnings are small and often below the power cost; it is more attractive with cheap or free power.

Can I mine Monero with a GPU?

You can, but RandomX is designed for CPUs, and GPUs are much less efficient on it.

Why does my estimate change every day?

Difficulty and price change constantly. The calculator loads the latest values when you open it.
